254 CCG Mission

Federal Mission
The 254th Combat Communications Group provides expeditionary communications for the initial reception of forces by deploying a base information infrastructure across the full spectrum of operation. Augment COCOM and AFFOR staff in support of war plans, contingencies, operations and exercises and provide management oversight of expeditionary communications forces.

State Mission
The 254th Combat Communications Group's state mission is to provide ready forces to the state of Texas during local or statewide emergencies to protect life and property.

221 CBCS Mission

Mission
Deploy, operate, and sustain Command, Control, Communications and Computer systems (C4) and support capabilities for Air Force and Joint military operations under bare-base/austere conditions.

Respond to Home Land Defense events, State and local emergencies. Promote public safety for the citizens of the State of Texas.

Provide an effective and efficient training environment to ensure the combat readiness of our Airmen.
